We are not perfect. We are not a billion-dollar company. Neither is a million-dollar investor. I began my career in 2019 as an IT consultant and still run the show working in the same career. However, ever since I was a child, one thought has always lingered: Why can’t Pakistan have global brands like Starbucks, Baskin Robbins, or KFC?
I tried to find answers. Maybe we are still a young country with a long road ahead.
But then, I asked myself more questions: Why does Coke in Pakistan taste different from the one sold in the West or the Gulf? Is it just Coke, or does this apply to everything? If I pay a premium for a brand, why don’t I get the same quality that someone in the West or Gulf enjoys?
I thought, maybe it’s because we’re overlooked or even underestimated. But then again, this is our home, our own crowd. Shouldn’t we demand better for ourselves?
In October 2022, we launched Sundae Harbor. We’ve been hustling and bustling from day one to keep our store running. We were never 100% perfect, but I promise you one thing: We have never compromised on the quality of our product.
